Cheers, singing and dancing reverberated through the OR Tambo Airport international arrivals area as parents and fans waited to welcome home their local champs.
Empire FC left South Africa for France earlier in May as an unknown team from Africa but returned having surprised many - they placed third in the prestigious Mondial Pupilles de Plomelin.
The tournament brings together u13 teams from around the world, competing in the soccer championship yearly.
