The community of Rondebult on the East Rand was in shock after three family members were stabbed to death, allegedly by a family member.
Ward councillor Sanele Hlongwane told News24 on Wednesday that a resident had raised the alarm about the gruesome discovery of the three people in the back of a bakkie.
According to Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, their wounded bodies were found in the bakkie on Tuesday.
