A man was injured during a shooting outside a law firm in Houghton, Johannesburg, on Friday afternoon.

A man was injured during a shooting outside a law firm in Houghton, Johannesburg, on Friday afternoon.

According to police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, the man was part of a group of four people who had gone to consult with their attorney.

While at the entrance of the premises, Nevhuhulwi said suspects shot at the Ford Ranger bakkie the group was travelling in.

“One of the occupants sustained a gunshot injury to his leg as he jumped out of the bakkie trying to run for his safety,” she said.

“The suspects reportedly fled the scene using a silver-grey Jeep, and the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.”

She said Norwood police were investigating a case of attempted murder.
