Eastern Cape police are on the hunt for a gunman who shot and killed a police clerk at her home in White City, Sada township in Whittlesea, on Friday.
Bongiwe Ramncwana, 48, was shot dead at about 17:30.
Police spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni, said a suspect in a white Suzuki opened fire on Ramncwana.
“Ramncwana was attacked as she was opening the gate at her home, and was declared dead on the scene.”

Ramncwana was an administrative clerk at the Whittlesea SAPS.
Mdleleni said the motive for the shooting is not yet known, and the suspect has not been arrested.
Police are appealing for assistance in tracking down the shooter.
