The City of Johannesburg launched its water security strategy on Tuesday evening at the Joburg Lesedi Theatre.
The aim of the event was for the mayor, Kabelo Gwamanda, to sign the initiative into action, to safeguard Johannesburg from a water disaster.
It comes after two years of water outages, and straight off the back of a two-week water outage that affected half of the city.
