Middleburg police are investigating a murder case following the discovery on Friday of two dismembered bodies on a plot in Kranspoort, located along the N11 Groblersdal Road, in Mpumalanga.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Fundiswa Maphanga, officers responded to a call at the plot and, upon arrival, found the bodies of two unidentified victims.
“All relevant role-players, including specialised units, were summoned to the scene to process it,” Maphanga said.

“A case of murder has been opened, and three suspects have been detained for questioning. Investigations are ongoing.”
The acting police provincial commissioner, Major-General Zeph Mkhwanazi, has strongly condemned the incident and assured the public that the police will leave no stone unturned to ensure those responsible face the full force of the law.
The police urged anyone with information about the circumstances surrounding the murders to contact their nearest police station, to call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111, or to submit information via the MYSAPS mobile app.
