News24 | Monday's weather: Fine, cool to warm conditions for most of the country

The South African Weather Service has forecast fine and cool to warm conditions, with fire danger warnings in some provinces. 

Fire danger warnings:

Extreme high fire danger conditions are expected over the central parts of the Northern Cape, Central Karoo in the Western Cape, and western and central interior of the Eastern Cape.

Fine and cool temperatures are expected in Gauteng. The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

Morning fog patches can be expected on the Highveld of Mpumalanga, otherwise it will be fine and cool but warm on the Lowveld

Limpopo will be fine and cool to warm.

It will be fine and cool in the North West, becoming partly cloudy from the western part.

The Free State will be fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy from the western part in the afternoon.

Cold temperatures can be expected in the south-west of the Northern Cape, otherwise fine, windy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly reaching strong until early evening.

The Western Cape will be fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy in the western parts from the afternoon spreading to the eastern parts in the evening.

Light rain can be expected along the west coast and adjacent interior towards the evening but isolated thunderstorms in the extreme eastern parts by the evening.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-westerly but strong along the west coast reaching near gale over the south-west by mid-morning. The expected UVB sunburn index is low.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and cool, but warm in places along the coast.

It will become partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly, but north- easterly at times.

It will be fine and cool in the eastern half of the province, but warm in places in the south-west.

It will become partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms in the west. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly.

KwaZulu-Natal will be fine and cool. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
