Residents in parts of the Northern Cape, North West and Free State are urged to be alert for possible fires while fine and warm conditions are expected across large parts of the country, according to the South African Weather Service

Fire danger warning: 

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Kamiesberg Municipality and in places in the north and north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, as well as the western part of the North West, and the northern parts of the Free State. 

The weather in your province: 

Gauteng will be partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise it will be cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

Morning fog patches are expected over the escarpment of Mpumalanga, otherwise it will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Limpopo can expect morning fog patches over the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and warm conditions are forecast, along with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south-east and extreme east.

The North West will be fine in the west, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.

It will be fine and warm to hot in the Free State, with morning fog in the east where it will be partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

Fine and hot to very hot conditions are expected in large parts of the Northern Cape, except for the south where it will be warm.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

Partly cloudy and cool conditions are expected along the south coast in the Western Cape, becoming cloudy in the evening, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot along the West Coast.

The wind along the coast will be strong southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

It will be partly cloudy along the coast and adjacent interior in the western half of the Eastern Cape with isolated showers along the coast, otherwise it will be fine and cool.

The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly, becoming south-easterly in the afternoon.

The eastern half of the province will be cloudy in the north in the morning, otherwise it will be fine and cool becoming cloudy with isolated showers and rain south of the escarpment from the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be light south-westerly, becoming south-easterly by afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal can expect morning fog over the interior, otherwise it will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers.

The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
