The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of extremely high fire danger conditions expected over the Matzikama Municipality in the Western Cape.

Gauteng will be fine and cold.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

Morning fog is expected in places in the Highveld of Mpumalanga, otherwise fine and cold to cool, becoming partly cloudy in the Lowveld in the afternoon.

Limpopo will be fine and cool but partly cloudy in the Lowveld.

Fine and cold to cool conditions are expected in the North West.

It will be fine and cold in the Free State.

The Northern Cape will be fine and cool to warm but cold in the southern parts.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh east to south-easterly.

In the Western Cape, it will be partly cloudy with morning fog over the southern parts, otherwise fine and cool but cold in the south coast and adjacent interior.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly, becoming strong at times along the west and south-west coast from the morning.

The expected UVB sunburn index is moderate.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and cool.

The wind along the coast will be light easterly.

On the eastern half, there will be morning frost in places north of the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool but cold in places.

The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming north-easterly in the afternoon.

There will be morning fog patches in the north-western interior of KwaZulu-Natal, otherwise fine and cold to cool.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-westerly north of Richards Bay until the late morning, otherwise light to moderate northerly to north-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.
