Msunduzi Municipality city manager Lulamile Mapholoba will meet with lawyers before the end of Tuesday to discuss the DA's court application to set aside a R27-million sponsorship deal signed with PSL outfit Royal AM.
The DA has submitted an application at the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg to ask that some of the decisions made in a 19 July council meeting be set aside.
"[The DA wants] the payment by the Msunduzi Municipality of any money to Royal AM to be declared unlawful, reviewed, and set aside," it said in court documents.
