A man who admitted killing the father of Hawks officer Nico Heerschap, allegedly on the instruction of Nafiz Modack, testified on Tuesday that he started feeling the heat after the hit - literally.
Mr A, as he is identified in the trial, set his hands on fire by accident while he was torching the luxurious black Mercedes-Benz used for the hit in Melkbosstrand on 9 July 2019, the Western Cape High Court heard.
