The beleaguered National Freedom Party (NFP) is fighting the clock to register for the upcoming 2024 national elections as it heads to its elective conference this weekend.
Senior leader Irvin Barnes is in the running for the top seat as party president.
Speaking to News24 on Wednesday, Barnes said the party was desperately trying to avoid its 2016 disaster, where it failed to register as a political party ahead of the polls.
