A vast majority of stakeholders rejected the DA's controversial Western Cape Provincial Powers Bill during its second day of public hearings in Moorreesburg.

A vast majority of stakeholders rejected the DA's controversial Western Cape Provincial Powers Bill during its third day of public hearings.

On Wednesday evening, hearings continued in Mossel Bay in the Southern Cape. Hearings were rowdy, but had few disruptions.

Last week, the ANC announced that - along with Cosatu, the SA Communist Party (SACP), and the SA National Civic Organisation (Sanco) - it had deployed members to each of the six public hearings being held.
