Dr Mads Gilbert, a Norwegian physician and activist, has called on South Africa to follow the example of the Jordanian government and deliver aid into Palestine amid its continued conflict with Israel.
Gilbert addressed the media and a group of activists in Durban on Friday as part of his national tour calling for "concrete activism" in favour of the Palestinian cause.
According to data from the United Nations Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs, about 12 000 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza since 7 October.
