Police are investigating a case of murder after human body parts were found near a dumping site in Inanda in eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal, on Friday morning.
Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said a human head and feet were found in a black plastic bag along the main road in the Lusaka area of Amaoti.
"Next to that bag was another transparent plastic bag containing human legs. Blood-stained clothing items and a blanket were found at the scene," he said.

"Suspects are unknown at this stage.
"Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a local security company, said it received a call from a man who had stumbled on the remains while searching for valuables."
They responded to the scene at 08:06.
In a statement, RUSA said: "A pink child’s jacket and blue baby blanket were found next to the package containing the body parts.
"Both garments were also blood-soaked."
