The National Institute for Communicable Diseases confirmed the first case of an antifungal-resistant ringworm in KZN.

An antifungal-resistant infection, known as Trichophyton indotineae, the first of its kind in Africa, has been detected in KwaZulu-Natal.
On Thursday, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) confirmed a positive diagnosis was recorded in a patient.
It reported it as a case report in the Public Health Surveillance Bulletin.
