The South African Weather Service has issued multiple Yellow Level 2 warnings for severe thunderstorms and disruptive rainfall in most regions, including Mpumalanga, Gauteng, North West, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Limpopo.
A heatwave is expected over the central and northern parts of the Eastern Cape.

Yellow Level 2: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours and damaging winds, large hail and flooding of roads and settlements, the displacement of affected communities and damage to formal and informal structures are expected over the Highveld of Mpumalanga, Gauteng, eastern parts of the North West, the eastern parts of the Free State and the western and central parts of KwaZulu-Natal as well as eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
Yellow Level 2: Disruptive rainfall leading to localised flooding and localised damages to infrastructure and low-lying areas and bridges, is expected over Limpopo, except in the north-east, and the escarpment area of Mpumalanga.
