Minister of Police stressed the importance of taking women and children cases seriously to new recruits.
"Women and children are
under siege. I ask you to be kind to women who come to report a crime. You need
to stop everything you are doing and go help them," Police Minister Bheki
Cele said as he welcomed the last batch of newly trained constables into the
ranks of the police.
Cele flanked by national police commissioner Fannie Masemola and Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi welcomed the 2 500 new police recruits at the Tshwane Police Academy on Friday.
He said the group was the last of the 10 000 police officers to graduate from various academies across the country this year.
