Western Cape police have launched a manhunt for five suspects who stormed a house on Ronderug Farm near the Orionskraal route in the vicinity of Vanrhynsdorp, killing a 72-year-old farmer and seriously injuring his wife on Monday night.
The farmer, Willem van der Westhuizen, suffered a stab wound to his neck.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Malcolm Pojie, said the faces of the suspects were covered with balaclavas when they broke into the farmhouse through the back door.
