Eastern Cape police launched a manhunt after seven people were killed, including an eight-year-old child, in Willowvale on Sunday morning.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Priscila Naidu said police received information during the early hours of Sunday morning of multiple shootings in the Nxanxashe location.

Naidu said six occupants, including the child, who were in a Mazda 3 vehicle, were shot dead, while another person was found dead about a kilometre away in a Toyota Fortuner.
