The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a series of severe weather warnings for various provinces across the country, effective from Monday.
A Yellow Level 2 warning for disruptive snow is in place, primarily affecting the central parts of the Western Cape and southern parts of the Northern Cape.
SAWS forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela said the Eastern Cape was also expected to experience significant snowfall, which would extend to the Drakensberg range and lead to Lesotho.
