The ANC in Mpumalanga claims it is unconcerned by the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party bringing its campaign to the province on Saturday.

However, branches, which previously threw their weight behind former president Jacob Zuma during some challenging periods in his political career, are seething.

According to Mpumalanga ANC chairperson Mandla Ndlovu, their gripe is Zuma's continued "contradictions" as a senior and "ideal" member of the party. Ndlovu said discussions had revealed the latest developments had affected branches as well as provincial and national ANC officials.
