The family of expelled Stellenbosch University student Theuns du Toit insisted it was not a racial incident when he urinated on the desk of Babalo Ndwayana.

On Tuesday, a calm and collected Du Toit appeared briefly in the Stellenbosch Magistrate's Court on charges of malicious damage to property and crimen injuria.

The case was postponed to February next year for further investigation.
