The fraud-accused Nelson Mandela Bay city manager, who was suspended at an emergency council meeting in October last year, unexpectedly pitched up for work on Wednesday, claiming her 90-day suspension was over.

However, Noxolo Nqwazi was slapped with an extended suspension - already sent to her lawyers in a letter last week - after more allegations against her surfaced.

Nqwazi was completely isolated on Wednesday; her access to the servers, internet, computer, and other municipal assets was cut off.
