The State says the public will lose confidence in the criminal justice system if alleged gang boss Ralph Stanfield, his wife, Nicole Johnson, and three alleged associates are granted bail.
"Cape Town is well known for two things your worship," prosecutor Nathan Adriaanse submitted towards the end of a two-and-a-half-hour final argument motivating why they should not be granted bail.
"The first thing is Table Mountain. The second thing is gangsterism."
