EFF president Julius Malema has commended KwaZulu-Natal police for killing alleged criminals amid criticism that some of the killings could be extra-judicial.
Several alleged criminals have been shot dead by police in incidents where, according to police top brass' accounts, they opened fire first.
Six suspects were shot dead, and five were firearms recovered during two separate shootouts with the police on Thursday morning, the police said in a statement.
