The South African Weather Service has warned of conditions that could lead to fires in three municipalities across the Northern Cape, with cloudy and cool conditions expected in large parts of the country.

Fire danger warning: 

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Dawid Kruiper, Kai !Garib and Kareeberg local municipalities in the Northern Cape.

Gauteng will be partly cloudy and warm, becoming fine by the afternoon.

Morning fog has been forecast on the escarpment of Mpumalanga. 

It will otherwise be partly cloudy and cool but warm in places in the east.

Limpopo can expect morning fog on the escarpment, otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool across the province. 

The North West can expect morning fog in places in the east, otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme west.

Morning fog is expected in places in the extreme eastern parts of the Free State.

It will otherwise be partly cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.

KwaZulu-Natal can expect morning fog over the interior, otherwise, it will be partly cloudy and cool but warm in places in the north.

Isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected in the western parts of the province.

The wind along the coast will be gentle south-easterly in the extreme north at first, otherwise moderate easterly to north-easterly.
