Taxi boss Bonke Makalala is accused of impersonating a police officer.

Two constables appeared in the Simon's Town Magistrate's Court alongside an Eastern Cape taxi boss they allegedly allowed to use an official police vehicle.

Western Cape police spokesperson Brigadier Novelwa Potelwa said both constables, aged 25 and 31, were arrested on Tuesday night.

They were based at the Nyanga police station.
