Two suspects were killed in shootout with police in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, on Saturday.
Two more suspects wanted in connection with the massacre of seven family members, including three children, in Hlokozi, Highflats, in southern KwaZulu-Natal, were shot dead by police in Umlazi near Durban on Saturday afternoon.
On 8 October, two suspects were also killed in a shootout with police on St Faiths Road in Port Shepstone on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.
The four suspects were allegedly involved in the killing of seven members of the Khambule family on 11 September.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said provincial police commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi had put a team together to search for the killers.

"On Tuesday, two suspects were shot and fatally wounded when they also engaged in a shootout with police in an incident in which one suspect narrowly escaped arrest.
"The search continued and on Saturday afternoon, police gathered intelligence that two more suspects were on their way to conduct a cleansing ritual in Umlazi," said Netshiunda.
No police officer was injured during the shootout.
He added that the suspects were spotted driving on the Old South Coast Road in Umlazi, and when police signalled for them to pull over, the suspects allegedly opened fire at the officers, who retaliated.
"During the shootout, two suspects sustained fatal gunshot wounds. They were found in possession of two firearms, which have thus far been positively linked with the crime scene at Hlokozi," said Netshiunda.
