A UN body has called on the Equatorial Guinea government to release two South African men who were arrested in what it described as arbitrary detention.
Peter Huxham, 55, and Frederik (Frik) Potgieter, 54, were arrested at their hotel in Malabo in February last year on drug-related charges.
The men were on a five-week work stint in the country and met only after their arrests. Potgieter is South African and Huxham has dual South African/UK citizenship.
