The fire that destroyed parts of The Shelley Point Hotel and Spa in St Helena Bay on Tuesday morning is under control, says the mayor of Saldanha Bay, André Truter.
Truter told News24 on Tuesday evening that firefighters, who were deployed from other municipalities earlier in the day, had left the scene.
