The father of the man accused of the rape and murder of Kirsten Kluyts grabs his son's arm as he is lead into the cells below the Alexandra Magistrate's Court.
The State used Occam's razor principle as the reason for its belief that the man accused of killing Kirsten Kluyts was not truthful in his testimony before the court.
The Alexandra Magistrate's Court denied the 21-year-old's bail application on Friday as the defence did not provide exceptional circumstances for bail, which are needed in a Schedule 6 offence.
The man cannot be named because he is facing a charge of rape.
