A single mother and her two daughters are living in fear after they were attacked by five axe-wielding men, wearing balaclavas, on their Stellenbosch farm just before midnight in October.
"We know it's safe by us now because the alarm system is fixed, and the locks are more secure. But nobody can be prepared for something like this," Janine van Dyk told News24.
"I feel scared in the daylight," she said, adding that their "paradise" on Waarburgh Road was now "hell".
