The sheriff of the court and law enforcement agencies have moved in to start evicting a group of homeless people who have been living outside the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town's city centre. 

In September, the Western Cape High Court granted an eviction order to the Public Works and Infrastructure Department, giving the homeless community until 17 October to leave the area.

On Friday, police and law enforcement officials were out in full force and maintaining a strong presence as the eviction operation started.
