The father of one of the survivors stands outside his son's room, where the mob ransacked the place looking for his son.

The families of two men who survived a mob justice attack that left five people dead last week Monday have described the harrowing moments the attackers came inside their homes, demanding that they hand over their sons.

The men were accused of stealing from and terrorising a community in Tembisa.

Herbert Centane, the father of 25-year-old Nqobile Centane, told News24 his son was in a critical condition in hospital after he was beaten up with a cricket bat and other weapons.
