Zamoxolo Gegesi was such a jokester that his family thought he was playing a prank on them when he vanished while crossing a flooded river in Kariega last Thursday, but a week later, his body was found in the very same river.

Now, overwhelmed by the loss of their only brother, his four sisters are trying to pick up the pieces of their shattered hearts and also give their brother the dignified funeral he deserves.

"He always loved to make jokes and make people laugh, so when his friend told me he fell into the river, I didn't believe him. I thought it was a prank," his sister, Veliswa Dyosopu, said.
