Intense heat and thundershowers are expected in most parts of the country, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

Excessive lighting, strong winds and hail are forecast for Limpopo.

Impact-based warning

Yellow Level 2 warning: Severe thunderstorms resulting in heavy downpours that will lead to localised flooding of susceptible low-lying areas (settlements, roads and bridges), damages to property and infrastructre due to strong gusty winds, large amounts of hail, communication systems outages and disruptions of municipal services due to excessive lightning, as well as danger to livelihood and livestock, are expected over the central parts of Limpopo.
