The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has opted not to renew the contracts of 15 teachers in Atlantis, leaving several schools in the area without enough staff to teach pupils.

This week, the schools issued letters to parents outlining the problems. 

In a letter, the principal at Robinvale High School said 24 classes, including four Grade 12 geography classes, would receive no teaching.
