The winter transfer window won't reopen in Europe for a while yet, but there are plenty of moves in the works and gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!
TOP STORY: Cardoso linked with move to Milan
Christian Pulisic could soon be joined at AC Milan by fellow United States international Johnny Cardoso, according to Calciomercato.
The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen their midfield in the January transfer window and have identified the Real Betis fulcrum as their primary target.
Milan are reportedly impressed with Cardoso's intensity but are aware that signing the Internacional youth academy product could be difficult, especially given that Tottenham Hotspur have an agreement with Betis for the first refusal on any move for the 23-year-old.
RB Salzburg's Lucas Gourna-Douath is also being looked at by the Serie A giants as a potential alternative to Cardoso, as is Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka and young Torino star Samuele Ricci.
PAPER GOSSIP
- Chelsea are among the clubs interested in Rúben Dias with Manchester City potentially willing to let the centre-back leave in 2025, claims TEAMtalk, which adds that there could be competition for the Portugal international's signature from the Bundesliga and LALIGA.
- Florian Plettenberg has reported that a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich is possible for Paul Wanner, who is currently on loan at Heidenheim. Bayer Leverkusen is still an option for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, but a lot still depends on the future of Florian Wirtz, who has been linked with various big-name clubs, including Bayern.
- Nottingham Forest are in talks to extend striker Chris Wood's contract and are hopeful of reaching an agreement quickly, reports The Telegraph, which adds that the new deal would likely be up to two and a half years long. This comes with only Erling Haaland and Bryan Mbeumo having scored more than the 32-year-old's seven Premier League goals this season.
- Beto is considering leaving Everton in search of more first-team minutes, reports Football Insider. The Toffees are willing to let the striker leave if they can get close to the £26 million they paid for the 26-year-old.
- Bayern Munich could let Mathys Tel leave on loan in January under certain conditions, but a final decision has not yet been made, says Florian Plettenberg. Werder Bremen are among the various Bundesliga clubs who have shown an interest and made enquiries over recent months.
