An off-duty female police constable fought off two armed men who allegedly attacked her outside a shop in Humansdorp on Sunday.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli said that one suspect, an 18-year-old, was arrested and a replica firearm recovered.
It is alleged that around 17:20, two men armed with firearms attempted to hijack the officer and force her into the boot of her vehicle outside a shop at the corner of Du Plessis Street and Main Road.
