World leaders, including the BRICS group and the United Nations, charged that Israel was committing "war crimes and genocide" during a virtual meeting of world leaders on Tuesday.
President Cyril Ramaphosa chaired the meeting involving BRICS nations – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – and invited leaders from Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
The UN was represented by an official from secretary-general António Guterres' office.
