The complainant in the criminal case brought against the president of the South African Football Association (Safa) Danny Jordaan – which led to the Hawks raiding the association's offices on Friday morning – says that Jordaan should step aside while he clears his name.

William Mooka – a former vice-president of the association and one of its long-serving national executive committee (NEC) members – opened a criminal case against Jordaan in 2020, with supporting affidavits from another former vice-president Lucas Nhlapo along with the association's longest serving chief executive, Dennis Mumble.
