Some political parties saw a "steady increase" in donations as the 29 May elections draw closer, the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) said on Thursday.
This after it released the party donations declarations for September to December, the third quarter of the 2023/24 financial year.
"The total value of donations declared for the third quarter of the 2023/24 financial year is a noteworthy R59 052 065.82," read the IEC statement.
