Pretoria Rugby Club chairperson Jaco Basson was shot at Modise Stand in Winterveld on Sunday when he went to view a bakkie that was advertised on Facebook Marketplace.
As Joe Burger rushed one of his closest friends, Pretoria Rugby Club chairperson Jaco Basson, to hospital, he watched his friend's life slowly ebbing away.
Burger prayed to God to save Basson throughout the five-minute drive to the Kgabo Health Centre, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Basson was shot at Modise Stand in Winterveld on Sunday when he and Burger went to view a bakkie that was advertised on Facebook Marketplace.
