"If you cannot reduce poverty, what are you doing? Step aside," a Soweto resident said as President Cyril Ramaphosa campaigned in Soweto on Saturday ahead of the 2024 national elections. 

Ramaphosa was in Meadowlands, where he visited a voting station and the homes of mainly ANC supporters. 

However, some people whose homes he did not visit were not pleased with the state of governance as the country nears the end of another ANC term in office. Tshepo Tsosane said he lived in poverty and was tired of unkept promises.
