Dada Morero has effectively been ousted as chairperson after securing only 149 of the votes.

The elections agency announced this on Friday, after 334 ballots had been issued. There was one spoiled ballot.

The nominations were unveiled in the early hours of the morning, following delays related to some branches whose participation in the conference was reportedly disputed.

A total of 126 branches submitted nominations for the new leadership.

All who had met the 26 branch threshold for nominations had confirmed availability, with none withdrawing.
