Sifiso Mkhwanazi appeared before the Gauteng High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge.
"Even if I didn't confess to my father, I was (ultimately) going to tell the truth."
An alleged serial rapist and murderer, who admitted to killing six Johannesburg sex workers, claimed the confession he made to his father at the Johannesburg Central police station was nevertheless going to be heard by someone else.
Testifying during the trial-within-a-trial, Sifiso Mkhwanazi, 21, told the Gauteng High Court sitting in Palm Ridge that his father, Mark Khumalo, and the investigating officer, Sergeant Bongani Mbonambi, did not intimidate him into confessing to committing the offences.
