SAPS has not given up on finding missing 6-year-old Saldanha Bay resident Joshlin Smith, Police Minister Bheki Cele's spokesperson, Lirandzu Themba said on Friday.

Smith went missing 11 days ago.

"Contrary to the lies peddled by the DA, the SAPS has not withdrawn from the search for the Grade 1 pupil. A helicopter has been taken off the overall police search. However, the K9 Unit and SAPS, including investigators, are still searching for Joshlin," she said.
