The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued warnings of very hot to extremely hot conditions in parts of the Northern Cape and Western Cape on Monday, while the rest of the country can expect partly cloudy and warm weather with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

Very hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected over the interior of Namakwa District in the Northern Cape, Cape Winelands, Central, and Little Karoo, as well as the eastern parts of Overberg in the Western Cape.

Extremely hot conditions are expected in places over the Dr Beyers Naude, Blue Crane Route, Sundays River Valley and Raymond Mhlaba local municipalities in the Eastern Cape.
