A large area in the north of Johannesburg is without water after a pipe burst and subsequent complications on Wednesday.
A large part of the northern suburbs of Johannesburg is still without water after a 600mm pipe burst in Atholl on Wednesday.
Johannesburg Water closed the affected pipes during repairs, which left areas that include Sandhurst, Illovo, Atholl, Inanda, Hurlingham, Sandown, Sandton, Morningside, Hyde Park, Inanda, Benmore Gardens, Riverclub, Craighall, Wendywood, Parkmore and surrounds without water.
While Johannesburg Water estimated the repairs would be completed by Thursday, residents still complained they have no water.
